The weather forecast is an integral part of almost every
news show worldwide. To provide our customers with the possibility
to create unique weather shows, LABS has created a shell that combines
support for templates with live weather data and real-time
graphics. The team can custom develop the complete weather solution
with the shell at its core based on exact requirements.
Graphics and animation are driven by the weather data and can easily
be controlled, switched and manipulated. Weather controller at the
station collects and populates the weather data (like temperature,
air pressure, typhoons and hurricanes, radar, infra-red and ISO
bars) and uploads it in the templates. A playlist of all the
templates is then created and pushed into the nX Weather controller
where they can be previewed before firing on-air.
The solution is extremely user friendly and helps weather
specialists at television stations to concentrate more on
delivering accurate and comprehensive weather reports for the
viewers.
Meteorologists, weather presenters and graphics designers can use
pre-defined templates to focus on the weather situation and present
it in the best possible way without having to think about the
consistency of the channel branding. The template-based approach is
